NYFW

Hi guys!
So it's currently New York Fashion Week and we're loving some of the collections on show.
One of my personal favourites was Monique Huillier's designs:

I absolutely love the use of bright, vibrant colours as well as the soft, ivory/ cream dresses.

I've therefore decided to do my own take on these outfits but at a more affordable price.

First off is this outfit which is all from ASOS. ASOS is my absolute favourite place to shop online. The majority of items are very affordable and with free delivery you can't go wrong.
Trousers: £22
Jumper: £38
Shoes: £18

This outfit is also from ASOS. I've chosen two pairs of shoes as the outfit can easily be made a bit smarter- although it is arguably quite a smart outfit anyway.
Shorts: £35
Jumper: £25
Heels: £17.99
Flats: £12.99

The colours are bold and outgoing on both outfits and so the quieter person may shy away from this style (I'm more of a muted shades girl- occasionally with some bright colours) but why not try something new?! Bright colours can often make you feel more confident in yourself.
And I know autumn and winter are coming, but lets pretend it's summer for a bit longer!

What do you think to today's post? Should we do more takes on NYFW designs? We'd love to hear from you!

Love,

M's OOTD part 4

Hi guys!
Today is Thursday and so it's the fourth instalment of my outfit of the day week!
Tomorrow my college is closed because of leeds festival and so I'm currently unsure whether to do an ootd post as I'm hoping not to be dressed for most of the day! I am going out tomorrow evening though so I might post my outfit.

Top- Around £13?( I can't quite remember)
Jeans- £11, Primark
Shoes- £15(?) Topshop- although they're quite old so I'm not sure if they're sold anymore
And my bag is the usual which was £14.99 from H&M.

Hope you've enjoyed this week's posts (if not then its back to normal from tomorrow!)

Love,
M x

M's OOTD part 3

Hi guys!
Today is the third part to my outfit of the day week (the other days are further down on the blog if any of you want to have a nosey) and my third day of college- which I love, although the days are pretty long!

Today I am wearing:
Top- £12.99, H&M
Leggings- £5.99, H&M
Shoes- £6, Primark
I am also wearing one of my pandora bracelets- I think it is between £35-£45- and a small black bracelet that B got me from Greece. I'm not intending to take this off, it's been permanently on my wrist since it was given to me. I love these types of bracelets!

Hope you enjoyed today's post! If you have any feedback, let us know, it really is appreciated!

See you tomorrow,
Love,

Rose Libertine

Hi guys!
So I'm just doing a quick post today on one of my favourite nail colours. It's Rose Libertine (405) by Rimmel London.

It's an older colour of mine but I love it. It's quite a bright colour but because I've mostly started wearing more subtle coloured clothes (more black, navy, grey, white etc) it complements them as well as bringing a bit more colour to what I'm wearing.

One of my favourite things to use once having painted my nails is Avon Nail Experts Liquid Freeze. You spray it on your nails- I usually leave it on for a minute or so, although it could be less- and it pretty much dries instantly. I would just recommend gently washing your hands because it is quite greasy. All in all though its very handy to have and if you're in a rush it can save time!

So it's just a quick post on what I like (and what I'm currently wearing!) at the moment.

And here's a little picture of my kitten, Bella, being nosey at my nail varnish collection;

Hope you enjoyed this short post!
Love,

London- Friday 28th June

Friday was our last day in London (unfortunately) and it wasn't very interesting at all to be honest with you guys, so this will be a short post!

We spent part of our morning packing, and then we travelled to Victoria on the tube. Our Megabus was at half 4 and literally had 5 hours to kill, so we spent most of our time in Café Nero!

We absolutely loved our time in London and can't wait to go back!

Our recent posts have been different to usual but we thought we may as well update you on what's been happening in our lives! As we have stated we do love being a fashion and beauty blog, however we are going to include lifestyle posts and we hope that the update of our week in London has done the trick.

We hoped you enjoyed it- and if not normal blogging will resume as of now!

What have you thought to our London updates? Do you guys like it as much as us?
Let us know
Till next time

London- Thursday 27th June

Although Wednesday was probably our busiest day in London, Thursday was still pretty tiring- but we battled on, of course.

We started our day off by catching the tube to St. Paul's. We had a nosey around the outside of the cathedral- which is beautiful, and then headed towards South Bank.

Next stop- Tate Modern!

After the Tate we then went (across the wrong bridge and had to go across another bridge further down when we'd realised) along by the London Eye where we had a lovely time seeing all the street performers.

We then headed towards The Houses of Parliament and on to Buckingham Palace!

After having a very tourist-y day we decided to head back to the tube. We then went to a graduate art show in the evening, just off Brick Lane, which had work from students from various universities around England- it was fabulous to look at the different forms of art and especially for M who is taking a foundation art degree. We also had a lovely evening meal at a Thai restaurant with B's Uncle and partner, the best aspect of them living in London is that they took us to see the sights of London that not many tourists do get to experience and it is incredible, just seeing the every day London life, it makes us want to move here so much more!

Today's post is pretty much self explanatory- hence the large amount of photos! We pretty much had a sight seeing day and we loved it- you have to be a tourist in London at some point don't you?!

We hope you enjoyed today's post- sorry it's a few days later than anticipated!

What do you guys think to today's post? Have you been to any of these places? We'd love to hear from you!

Till next time

London- Wednesday 26th June

Wednesday was probably our busiest day of last week- we spent the most time on the tube that day!

First off we visited Notting Hill- I've been wanting to visit there ever since I watched the film a few years ago! (M) and it's safe to say I am completely and utterly envious of anyone who lives there. It's beautiful
We mainly just went along Portobello Road and had a look at the stalls and shops- unfortunately we didn't see the blue door from the film but maybe next time! (for those who haven't seen Notting Hill- it'd be a great investment!)

Our next stop was Camden Market! Whenever people travel to London they always mention Camden, and so we felt like it would be compulsory for us to go to see what all the hype is about! We loved it. The market itself is massive and there were so many stalls selling all sorts of weird and wonderful things! We didn't really buy much from there- although B bought a ring- but it really is nice to just browse.
Word of advice though- try not to make too much eye contact with the stall owners because they persistently try to sell you their products!

Our next stop was Leicester Square! We didn't do much here but we did visit M&M world- there was literally 4 floors of M&M products, strange but great! We both bought some M&Ms for our younger siblings but do be wary when you do a 'pick and mix'. The idea of picking your own colour M&Ms is great but it can soon add up if you accidentally pour too much into your bags!

We then had a quick visit to Covent Garden. We didn't properly look around because by this time we were definitely ready for our teas! We ended up going to Nandos, naturally.

Our last stop of the day was Soho! Like Covent Garden we didn't particularly spend much time here- we were ready for going home- but like the rest of the places we visited, we really liked it and we wouldn't mind going back next time for a drink!

We both really loved Wednesday as we got to visit so many places! It was tiring but most definitely worth it.

Have any of you guys visited some of the places we did on Wednesday? If so what do you think to them? If not, where would you like to visit?
We'd love to hear from you!

Till next time,
Love

London- Tuesday 25th June

So Tuesday was our first full day in London. There were so many things we wanted to do in our week that we thought it would be easiest to plan our days whereby the places we visited were close by to one another so that we could cut wasted time through travelling.

(compulsory quick selfie before we left- B on the left, M on the right)

First stop- Natural History museum!

So we know it may not be deemed to be the coolest thing that two 18 year olds could do, but we thought why not?! (And M really wanted to see the dinosaurs).

We didn't spend too long in the Museum- our main aim really was just to visit the dinosaurs. The Museum is great though and we'd recommend it to anyone interested in Natural history- and with free entry you can't go wrong!
When we had finished our visit around that particular exhibit, we headed to our next stop- Hyde Park!

We couldn't have picked a better day for visiting here as the weather was beautiful! Hyde Park is such a lovely place to visit so we decided we'd have a wander round and find somewhere to have a bit of lunch.

The place we found was called The Lido Bar and Cafe and it overlooked the Serpentine. We both had pizza and it was lovely
We also stopped for a quick ice cream whilst in Hyde Park and then headed to Oxford Street.

We had a quick look around the shops- we couldn't believe how big Topshop and Primark were!- but then we had to get a tube back to B's uncle's as his students had an end of year art show (which was actually very good).
Although we would have like to have spent longer checking out the shops, we'll definitely be going back so we'll be able to have a proper look next time!

Sorry for the late post again guys but we hope you enjoyed our quick update!
Have you ever been to the places we visited Tuesday? If so did you like them?
We'd love to hear from you!

Till next time,
Love

London - Update

Hi guys!

We are back from a fabulous week in London, and unfortunately, unlike we had hoped, we were unable to  manage to do blog post for you guys every night as we had intended to and previously mentioned. However this means that there will be a post each night this week (Monday-Friday) starting from tonight!

We loved London so much and most definitely do intend to move there.

We did post a few cheeky photos on our personal instagrams so be sure to check them out, there will be many more photos in our blog entries this week.

Essie Go Ginza and Mojito Madness

So, as per usual we spent ages in boots hovering around the makeup counter and stands yesterday and one of our favourite purchases was Go Ginza by Essie from their Spring 2013 collection, influenced by worldwide shopping cities.

Go Ginza has a strong pale pink pigment and took 3 full coverage coats to which the first was streaky and weak, however once you achieved the full opaque effect of the "soft cherry blossom pink" you will be ready to wear it to any event for a classic and relaxed or a sophisticated event. We also believe that this is a perfect wedding nail colour as it achieves so much yet is so delicate.

We have also managed to grab Mojito Madness from Essie's Summer 2012 collection, it is a fabulous fresh grass green colour and only £1.99 from Fragrance Direct. Fragrance Direct is currently being "raved" about in the blogging and beauty world, if you haven't already you guys must check it out!

Mojito's full colour potential was reach with 2 coats and has lasted a good 4 days. It is quirky and vibrant with a brilliant gloss finish. Most definatly the best shade of Green I have purchased!

What are the beauty Items that you can't resist when you walk past the counters?
Have you got any Essie nail polishes? Have you seen Essie's collection for this Summer, What do you think of it?
Let us know!

May Haul! (M)

We've seen a lot of bloggers do high street and monthly hauls, so we thought we may as well give it a go! We decided to show what we're loving at the moment and although most hauls contain purely new products of the month, we want to shake things up a bit, so we'll be including things we've bought but also our favourite products from May- be it old or new!
So to start us off I'll be doing my monthly favourites (M) and B shall be doing hers in the next post!

I love lace clothing at the moment and so when I saw this particular Lemon Yellow lace top in Topshop, I couldn't resist. Topshop items can usually be a little pricey but this was only £16 and so great for all budgets!
We've found that lace has appeared in the recent fashion shows and so it's definitely making a comeback- if it ever went away that is!
The other top I currently love is from Primark- it was only £6 and so I bought it, naturally. I love these thin woolen jumpers. Although they are wool, (probably with some polyester thrown in) don't let that stop you from buying them. Even with the weather brightening up they're not too thick to be wearing- I probably own 3 or 4 of these material tops and they're getting plenty of use. I also love the deep lilac purple colour.

I have also bought some new jeans this month. They are from H&M and you guys will probably soon start to  notice that I get a lot of my clothing from there. I love it. They're of an acid wash effect and cost £30. Some of you may think this is a bit pricey, but H&M jeans are really good quality and last a long time so they're worth it!
The shoes in this picture are also from H&M (told you so)! They are lace and for only £10 they're an absolute bargain! They are lovely and summery and because they're white they will pretty much go with every outfit. Perfect.

There's quite a few beauty products that I have been loving this month, and so I decided to include them all- as you can see. (I'll work my way from left to right.) First off is a clothbrush! So I realise it's not exactly a beauty product, but I personally think it's a must have to keep in your house. I primarily use it for removing animal hair before I leave the house- the downside of having pets!-  although B uses it to remove bobbles from her clothing. Either way, it does the trick and for only 99p for 5 metres, it's most definitely worth it!
Next is my Simple moisturiser. I've used this particular moisturiser every day for a good few years and I love it. It is a kind to skin, replenishing moisturiser so if you're like me and have quite sensitive skin then its great and I highly recommend it.
My next item is a Boots Passionfruit body spray. I've been getting this on and off for the past couple of years, it's a lovely summery, fresh smell and it's only £2!
The next item is probably my absolute favourite item this month. It is Aussie Mega Shampoo and designed for daily washing. I have long, thick hair and I need to wash it everyday, so recently my hair's condition has gone a bit downhill- until I tried this. It's amazing and definitely worth every penny of the £4.95 I paid for it. If you wash your hair daily and are worried about product build up, give this a go, it's so good!
Next is my new Jimmy Choo perfume! It's pretty pricey- £58 for 60ml- but it smells amazing and lasts a decent amount of time as well! It's definitely one of my favourite perfumes!
I've put The Perks of Being a Wallflower in just because it's such a great book, and if any of you guys want some good holiday reads- this is definitely one!
I've got some new Sinful Colours Professional nail polish and the colours are so lovely! they all look really nice together and so they would be great for feature nails.

These four are my favourite make up items this month. I have the Benefit mascara we reviewed a few posts ago (The Benefits of Elle- check it out if you haven't already), 17 Miracle matte powder in Natural fair (I think!), the Rosy lips Vaseline- it's my favourite because it gives your lips a bit of colour whilst moisturising them!, and No7 Stay Perfect eyeliner in black- I love this at the moment, it's a recent buy but I'm so glad I got it as it's really easy to apply and it lasts a while so you don't have to keep topping  it up throughout the day!

So there you have it! My favourites/ haul this month! Very long post for me but I had so much to talk about, so needs must!

Have you tried anything in my haul? Is there anything you'd like to try out?
Let us know!
love,

Our Week in Photos 3

Hi guys!
So this week we've not been up to much, just revision- again!- but that's been made so much more bearable by the BEAUTIFUL weather we've been having these past few days- lets hope it stays!

This week we tried doing a daisy pattern on one of our nails- it went pretty well! We've also posted a tutorial for it so make sure you check it out! (We'll link it below)
We've also been loving Yankee candles- they smell so good!
B also finally got an Urban Decay Naked palette 1 after giving in due to the fabulous reviews. There might even be a little review on it at some point!

We also love last week's iTunes free single of the week- it's called Fall At Your Feet by Saint Raymond and we used it in our nail tutorial so make sure you have a listen!
On the top right is an Activia intensely creamy strawberry yogurt with a sliced strawberry- try it, you won't regret it, so tasty!
And the bottom two photographs are just what we've been loving to wear this week! Stripey tops are definitely a must for summer!

http://youtu.be/0zfNzrmolE8 - our daisy pattern nail tutorial. It's our first YouTube video and we're thinking of doing more so make sure you subscribe to keep updated!

Have you been up to much in the sun this week? What are loving this week?
Also keep an eye out for our May favourites coming soon!

Till next time,

Our Week in Photos!

Hi guys!
We're sorry about our lack of blog posts this past week. We do intend to have regular posts every Wednesday but these next few weeks may be a bit on and off as we are both sitting our A levels. No need to worry though, we'll be back with regular posts at least once a week by mid June!

We have so many great ideas for posts so we can't wait to get back to putting all our efforts into this for you guys.

The main point of this post though is to announce a new regular post we'll be doing: 'Our Week in Photos' which will be posted every weekend! It won't be too long but it'll be an update on what we've been doing, and things we've loved during the week- a nice little extra.

We love having feature nails- they make everything seem that little bit more summery!
As you can see we've been planning more posts and getting things ready for you guys.

Summer is possibly our favourite time of year and to get us into the mood we're currently loving Beyonce's album, 4, and Gabrielle Aplin's new single, Panic Chord.
Also- we're currently obsessed with mango Rubicon and mixed fruits!

Not overly compelling but we hope you enjoyed it.
What do you think of us doing 'Our Week in Photos' posts? Do you guys love summer as much as us?
We'd love to hear from you,
Until Wednesday (hopefully)
Love,
M&B x
